　　7. enjoy

　�。�1）enjoy doing sth.意為“喜歡做……”或者“做……很開(kāi)心/很享受”。其中的enjoy是動(dòng)詞，有“欣賞，享受，喜愛(ài)”等意思，后接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)名詞。例如：

　　People enjoy the city’s quiet street.

　　8. post

　�。�1）post作名詞，意為“郵件，郵遞，郵筒（箱）”。例如：

　　There was a big post this morning. 今天郵件很多。

　　Please take these letters to the post. 請將這些信件投郵。

　�。�2）post 作動(dòng)詞，意為“郵寄，郵遞”。例如：

　　9. police

　　police 作名詞，意為“警察”，屬集體名詞，復數含義，不能與a連用；作主語(yǔ)時(shí)謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞要用復數形式。復合名詞policeman / policewoman 有單復數之分，對應的復數分別為policemen / policewomen。例如：

　　neighborhood 名詞，意為“附近，鄰近地區”。詞組“in the neighborhood”表示在 “附近地區”，相當于near here。如果后面加上介詞of，即in the neighborhood of 則表示“在……附近”，相當于near。例如：

　　There is a hospital in the neighborhood.= There is a hospital near here.附近有一家醫院。

　　He lives in the neighborhood of the supermarket.= He lives near the supermarket.他住在超市附近。

　　11. along

　�。�1）along 作介詞，意為“沿著(zhù)”，相當于down。例如：

　　We can walk along that road. 我們可以沿著(zhù)那條路走。

　�。�2）along 作副詞，意為“向前，一同”。與動(dòng)詞連用時(shí)，常與on同義，

　　表示“向前移動(dòng)”。例如：

　　Come along, Lin Feng. 林峰，來(lái)吧。

　　12. street, road＆avenue

　　street

　　多指兩側有商店等建筑物的城市街道，用于地址時(shí)可縮寫(xiě)為St.。

　　road

　　只可以行使車(chē)輛寬闊而平坦的城市道路或鄉村道路，用于地址時(shí)可以縮寫(xiě)為Rd.。

　　avenue

　　所指的街道比street稍寬，常指林蔭大道，用于地址時(shí)可縮寫(xiě)為Ave.。
