Six students from Chongqing Jiangjin Shuangfu Middle School won two gold medals, three silvers and one bronze at the International Jump Rope Union Virtual Championships 2021, the world's top jump rope competition.

　　The event,which 1 all 3 categories(類(lèi)別）：the World Championships,Junior World Championships and International Open Tournament, was held in August and 2 video submissions(提交)because of COVID-19. Prizes were announced in January.2022.

　　A total of 127 athletes were 3 by China's national jump rope team to compete in the event. Six middle school students from Chongqing Jiangjin Shuangfu Middle School, 4 competed in more than 10 competitions in the Junior World Championships of the event, won 5 for the country.

　　"Most kids can jump more than 300 times per minute,”said Shi Jie, the coach of the school's jump rope team. He added that to prepare for the competition last summer,the Students 6 training for more than 40 days, with four hours per-day of intensive(加強(qiáng)的)training starting a few days before the event.

　　According to Shi, the jump rope team. 7 more than 10 rope-skippers, has won many medals in 8 rope jump competitions in recent years. This is the first time the team has taken part in an international event and the team may attend another Asian jump rope championship 9 if it can be held on time.

　　“Rope-jumping is very boring, and perseverance(毅力)is the most 10 thing for success,"Shi said.
